These terms cover your use of Scoop There It Is ("Scoop," "we," "us") — a dog-waste removal service for yards in the Burlington, Vermont area. By signing up for or using our service, you agree to them. We've tried to keep them short and fair.
The service
We visit your property on a recurring schedule (or for a one-time cleanup) and remove dog waste from the areas we agree to service. After most visits we send a photo so you know the job got done. We'll do our best to keep a consistent pickup day, but exact timing can vary, and we may reschedule for weather, safety, holidays, or events outside our control.
What we need from you
- Safe, reliable access to the yard on your service day (an unlocked gate, a gate code, or similar).
- Dogs secured indoors or away from the work area during the visit.
- Accurate address, access notes, and contact information.
- A yard that's reasonably safe to walk — please flag hazards like aggressive dogs, deep snow/ice, or hidden obstacles.
If we can't safely access or service the yard on a given day, we'll let you know and skip that visit rather than guess.
Billing & cancellation
Subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor (Stripe). Pricing is shown before you subscribe and may depend on your plan and number of dogs. There's no contract — you can cancel anytime from your account or by contacting us; cancellation stops future charges and we don't charge a cancellation fee. We don't store your full card details (Stripe handles that).
Satisfaction guarantee
If you're not happy with a visit, tell us within a few days and we'll come back and make it right or credit the visit. We want you to feel good about your yard, not fight us over a missed corner.
Reasonable limits
We carry out our work with care, but we're not responsible for pre-existing yard conditions, lawn wear from normal foot traffic, items left in the service area, or issues we couldn't reasonably have known about. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the visit(s) at issue. Nothing here limits rights that can't be limited under Vermont or applicable law.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service grows. If we make a meaningful change, we'll post the new effective date here and, for material changes, give you a heads-up by email. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept it.
